I really liked the hands-on-experience working in the archives of a prestigious museum and library. I had a good degree of autonomy and responsibility that helped me feel my job was important and learn more about working in archives.
What I wish was different
I wish the job itself had been less solitary but that is the nature of archives work.
Advice
It's important to make sure you know what your goals are entering into an internship and to ask for feedback during your experience on your performance. This ensures you'll have the a better internship experience.
