The University of Massachusetts Donahue Institute (UMDI) is the outreach and economic development arm of the University of Massachusetts (UMass) President’s Office. Established in 1971, the Institute strives to connect its clients with the resources of the University, bridging theory and innovation with real world public and private sector applications. Our work covers a broad spectrum of services and a range of subject areas. We are uniquely positioned to bring comprehensive resources and diverse perspectives to our clients. We routinely work with federal, state, and local agencies, school districts, quasi-public agencies, foundations, corporations, and non-profit organizations to help them address changes and challenges facing their organizations.
