Resume Drop | Advocacy, Policy, & Legislation Networking Reception | Spring 2025

Welcome to the Resume Drop for the Advocacy, Policy, & Legislation Networking Reception Spring 2025 Event. Submit your resume by Thursday, February 20 at 11:59pm ET. The Resume Drop will be shared with the listed employers that request a copy.

Tips for Using Resume Drop:

  • Upload your resume to your Handshake profile. This resume will provide a broad sampling of your skills & experience (rather than be tailored to a specific job description). Employers using the Resume Drop will scan for various skills and qualities; you never know what may catch their eye!

  • The employer may reach out at any time! Scan your email, spam folders, voicemails and Handshake inbox regularly for communication from the Resume Drop Employer.

  • Do research on the organizations and prepare your elevator pitch in advance, so you are prepared for a sudden call or email from the employer.

  • Meet with your career advisor! Make an appointment on Handshake or take advantage of drop-in hours. Email careercenter@american.edu if you have questions.
