Nationally, AAUW advances equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy and research. Locally, our branch engages the community through events and activities such as Equal Pay Day, Women's History Month, International Women's Day celebrations as well as workshops like Women INterested in Going to School (WINGS).
Our main fundraiser, the AAUW Art Fair on the Green takes place the last weekend of July and allows us to award scholarships as well as grants to local organizations in harmony with our mission.
We offer three internships each spring & fall semester: Social Media (helping keep our social media accounts current), Diversity (to increase our branch diversity and awareness) and Public Policy (helping with events like Equal Pay Day, Voter education and promoting policies that empower women). Each internship pays $50 at the completion of the semester internship.
