Research Analyst Intern

June - August 2018 • Denver, CO

What I liked

I loved getting hands on experience into the financial services industry. I learned a ton and I was able to actively participate in money manager meetings, fund search's and pitching portfolios to advisors.

What I wish was different

I wish I could have been a bit more prepared from my classes. I had only taken Finance at that point.

Advice

Be okay with uncomfortable situations and new tasks that you're scared of. I was initially supposed to be solely on the Research Team but I ended up working with the Investment Sales Team as well . I had to pitch a portfolio to a room of senior management and that was terrifying, but it was also one of the best experiences of the whole summer.

Financial Services

June - August 2018 • Chicago, IL

What I liked

This internship was on a rotational program, so I not only got more in depth about the financial services, but also learned about sales, IT, Marketing, etc. The interns were given an end of the year project that we presented in front of 20+ managers and the CEO and President of our trillion dollar company.

What I wish was different

I wish the second half of the internship wasn't completely focused on the intern project, but still kept the same level of continuous education about our aspiring occupations.

Advice

I would tell anyone to apply at Envestnet, they are a wholesome and dedicated company who want not only what's best for you, but the company and our community as well!
