What I liked

I really enjoyed how hands on my internship was. I thought going in I was going to be stapling papers and getting coffee however I was pleasantly surprised at all of the amazing attributes I learned at my time at Honey Baked Ham Co.

What I wish was different

I wish I had started looking for internships sooner. You will always learn more about the career when you are working day in and day out in the field.

Advice

Don't be afraid to ask for internship positions. Honey Baked Ham had not had a finance or accounting intern in over 10 years, they had no program or even set goals for me. I believe that made it all the better. Use your resources to their potential and if you really want something, reach out and get it.
