What I liked

I liked the opportunity to run the team. While I wasn’t the coach or apart of paid staff, my position played a very important role within the program.

What I wish was different

I wish that communication was better between the staff and I. I would have also liked to be acknowledged for the time that I put in in the gym to recognized with more than just voluteer hours.

Make sure that the unpaid staff feels just as important and included as the paid staff.

It was nice to live in DC and do physics, which is what I enjoy.

What I wish was different

I wish that I had found the research more interesting, but all in all there were very few regrets.

Advice

Definitely apply to internships in far away places, they often cover travel and you can get paid to live somewhere else for the summer. It's rad.
