TEKsystems - IT Staffing

Technical Recruiting Intern

June - August 2018 • Newport Beach, CA

What I liked

I loved the company culture and all of the people I got to work with and learn from. Being my first sales job, I really learned the fundamentals of selling and was able to apply what I learned from my Sales classes at UW to my everyday responsibilities.

Technical Recruiter

June - August 2018 • Chicago, IL

What I liked

I think the one thing I enjoyed most about my internship experience was that I was treated as a full-time employee and had the ability to operate autonomously. It was my first internship experience, so I didn't know what to expect. With that being said, never at any moment did I feel like I was an intern given the company's work environment.

What I wish was different

Nothing.

Advice

Be open minded and ask questions. The job requires you to articulate knowledge about the IT industry, which is something I knew nothing about coming in. So, it's critical to take it upon yourself and be eager to learn as much as you can.
